A Kickstarter campaign run by Sekai Project with the goal to create a 20 minute OVA based on the visual novel series NEKOPARA (which evolved from the doujinshi of illustrator Sayori) was surpassed within a day of launch. The NEKOPARA series is about a male protagonist named Kashou who decides to leave his home and open a bakery named La Soleil. He eventually finds out two catgirls from his household, Chocola and Vanilla, decided to come with him. His sister manages to track him down and along with the other four Minaduki household catgirls they all work together to run La Soleil. Along the way, events of a naughty nature transpire.
Riding Bean is an OVA with action, violence, and exciting car chases. As AnimEigo’s first release, the retro anime publisher wants to rerelease it on Blu-ray. The Kickstarter was fully funded in 50 minutes, reaching the first stretch goal in 2 hours according to the project’s page.
